Grønland
Greenland is run by Denmark but sits on the North American side of the world. It has its own parliament in Nuuk to handle things like schools and hospitals, while Denmark still takes care of the military, foreign policy, and money. Because the island’s landmass is connected to North America, the United Nations lists Greenland with Canada and the United States in its “Northern America” group. In other words, Greenland is North American land that carries a Danish flag.
