The Ural Mountains are a long mountain range in Russia, forming the natural border between Europe and Asia. They stretch for about 2,500 kilometers (1,550 miles) from the Arctic Ocean in the north to Kazakhstan in the south. Most of the Urals are in Russia, and a small part reaches northern Kazakhstan.
