The “Francophone World” is made up by 26 independent countries where French is an official language and those in the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), across 4 continents of the world

There are 26 independent countries with French as an official language (include territories). The three Sahel states that left La Francophonie in 2025 (Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger)
