Critical thinking is the ability to think carefully about what you see, hear, or read. It helps you understand ideas better and make good decisions. There are six important steps in critical thinking:

  1. Knowledge: This is when you remember facts or ideas you’ve learned.
  2. Comprehension: This means you understand those facts or ideas.
  3. Application: Here, you take what you’ve learned and use it in real-life situations.
  4. Analysis: This step involves looking closely at ideas to see how they are similar or different.
  5. Synthesis: In this step, you combine different ideas to create something new.
  6. Evaluation: Finally, you judge the value of ideas by comparing them to certain standards.
