Programming languages

This post was last updated by José of onez on Tuesday, 04 February 2025.

A programming language is a way to give instructions to a computer so it can perform tasks. Just like people use different languages to communicate, computers understand programming languages like Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, PHP, and C#. These languages help create websites, apps, and games. Each one has its own rules, called syntax, which must be followed for the computer to understand the commands. Some languages, like PHP and JavaScript, are used to build websites, while others, like Python and C++, are used for apps, games, and even artificial intelligence.
