Photography helps us in telling stories, saving memories, and expressing ourselves.
As neuroscience explains mental imagery, the creation of mental images is a fundamental aspect of how our brains build consciousness and shape our subjective experiences…
Sometimes, I just wish I had taken more pictures of the good moments… Other times, I just look at old photo albums and relive those moments. I even print photos and give them to my friends and family—I love making them feel happy… and I’m not the only one!
Photos have been the most effective way of storytelling… Newspapers and magazines use powerful images to communicate impactful marketing campaigns… Many say that an image is worth more than a thousand words… but in my opinion, the synergy between both is the way… an image makes us think, while words tell us how.
… Pictures have been used for a long time
… As the first records from approximately 32,000 years ago in the cave of Chauvet, in Ardèche… and in the cave of Lascaux approximately 17,000 years ago… and the development of writing 5,000 years ago… this made it possible for human consciousness to develop based on facts… also the development of perspective, art, time-saving, record-keeping, communication, and much more… Photography helps to accumulate memory… build knowledge… and along with writing, photography tells stories!
Photography builds memory…
And with that in mind, I’m making this photography blog on onez.com, so that I can help inspire others’ imagination too.
