North America Continent
North America stretches from the Arctic ice of northern Canada all the way to the warm beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. In United-Nations statistics this region includes Canada, the United States, Greenland, Bermuda, and the tiny French territory of Saint-Pierre-and-Miquelon. Most of the land is made up of vast plains, high mountain chains like the Rockies and Appalachians, and some of the world’s longest coastlines. English and French are the main languages, and the economies are highly developed, driven by technology, energy, and global trade.
