Traveling: Going from one place to another—whether by foot, bicycle, car, train, boat, bus, airplane, or cruise ship—is more than just moving. It’s a way to enjoy personal growth, learn about new cultures, seek adventure, relax, and escape daily routines.
But why do we travel?
When we travel, we experience new things that stimulate our brain. Seeing new places improves our visual scanning and spatial navigation skills, activating parts of the brain like the parietal lobes.
We also get to enjoy new smells, tastes, languages, activities, exciting discoveries, and views. These experiences wake up our senses, help us grow, and refresh us from everyday life.
Travel also boosts creativity, helps us learn, makes us grow, changes our sense of time, allows us to find ourselves… and simply makes us feel good!
Even if the effect of travel is common to all, everybody travels for a different reason!
